Hawker food trails through Chinatown
Local tour guide in Singapore, Singapore.
I grew up above my grandmother's kopitiam on Smith Street, and I have been eating my way through Chinatown ever since. After fifteen years in food journalism, I now spend my days introducing travellers to the hawker aunties and uncles I have known my whole life. My tours are part history lesson, part feast, and always personal. Come hungry, leave with stories, recipes, and at least one new favourite dish you never knew existed.
Follow three generations of hawker history through Chinatown's food centres and shophouse lanes. We taste Michelin-listed classics and humble stalls tourists walk past, meet the families behind the woks, and finish with kopi brewed the old way. This is Singapore's food story told by someone who lived it.
