Art deco mornings and brunch in Tiong Bahru

Local tour guide in Singapore, Singapore.

I am an architect turned guide who fell hard for Tiong Bahru's streamline moderne estates, the oldest public housing in Singapore. I spent years documenting these buildings before deciding stories are better told on foot with coffee in hand. My walks mix design history with the neighbourhood's café culture and wet market life. Expect curved balconies, bomb shelters, excellent pastries, and a few residents who wave at us because they know me.

Tiong Bahru: Art Deco & Brunch Walk

Spend a slow morning in Singapore's most stylish heritage estate. We read the 1930s architecture like a book, browse a wet market that still feeds the neighbourhood, peek at a pre-war air raid shelter, and settle into the café scene that made Tiong Bahru famous. Design lovers and brunch lovers equally welcome.
